Teddies Bring Big Smiles

Our local TLC Teddies for Loving Care scheme is a huge success in our Province. We're connected with most of the local hospitals where children are treated. So far we have given more than 4,000 of our TCL Teddies to smiling new owners.

Nationally, Freemasons have donated cuddly toy bears 3,000,000 since the scheme began in Essex.

Our tireless TLC Teddies organiser Roger Hampshire and his team are also behind the annual pantomime trip to the Playhouse in Oxford. In 2020, due to Covid, this event was cancelled. Oxfordshire Freemasons organised 600 goodie bags for the participants who would have normally attended. Each contained chocolates, a TLC teddy and other very welcome items.

FESTIVAL FINALE DATE SET FOR 2022, YOU'RE INVITED!

Each year Oxfordshire Freemasons set a substantial target for charity fundraising. Our current goal culminates in our 2022 Festival.

Members and their families give cash to collections at their own lodges, hold fundraising social events, take part in challenges, and more importantly make many ongoing commitments to set up standing orders to donate regularly.

This cumulative effect means that we are one of the top benefactors and supporters of charities and good causes in the UK.

FREEMASONS FUND FOODBANKS

Freemasons in many local lodges, and our countywide Oxfordshire Freemasons Charity have been giving to vital foodbanks.

We also support the vehicles used in the transportation of food from supermarkets to foodbanks.

Covid has brought unexpected stresses and financial hardships to many communities.

We make a pledge on joining Freemasonry to help people in need.

It has been a tradition that we do this discretely and without fuss or publicity.
